Apêndice 6.D Relativas à Seção 4 (O modelo de probabilidade para intervenções)

Prova do Lema 3.2.

Decorre da Definição 3.1 que f∗⁢(𝒱)=𝕀⁢(𝐗=𝐱)⁢∏V∉𝐗f⁢(V|P⁢a⁢(V))f^{*}({\mathcal{V}})={\mathbb{I}}({\mathbf{X}}={\mathbf{x}})\prod_{V\notin{% \mathbf{X}}}f(V|Pa(V)). Definindo gXi⁢(Xi)=𝕀⁢(Xi=xi)g_{X_{i}}(X_{i})={\mathbb{I}}(X_{i}=x_{i}), para todo Xi∈𝐗X_{i}\in{\mathbf{X}} e gV⁢(V,P⁢a⁢(V))=f⁢(v|P⁢a⁢(V))g_{V}(V,Pa(V))=f(v|Pa(V)), note que

f∗⁢(𝒱)\displaystyle f^{*}({\mathcal{V}}) =∏Xi∈𝐗gXi⁢(Xi)⁢∏V∉𝐗gV⁢(V,P⁢a⁢(V))\displaystyle=\prod_{X_{i}\in{\mathbf{X}}}g_{X_{i}}(X_{i})\prod_{V\notin{% \mathbf{X}}}g_{V}(V,Pa(V))

Além disso, tomando 𝕍=𝒱−𝐗{\mathbb{V}}={\mathcal{V}}-{\mathbf{X}},

f∗⁢(𝐗)\displaystyle f^{*}({\mathbf{X}}) =∫f∗⁢(s⁢V)⁢𝑑𝕍\displaystyle=\int f^{*}(sV)d{\mathbb{V}}
=∫𝕀⁢(𝐗=𝐱)⁢∏V∈𝕍f⁢(V|P⁢a⁢(V))⁢d⁢𝕍\displaystyle=\int{\mathbb{I}}({\mathbf{X}}={\mathbf{x}})\prod_{V\in{\mathbb{V% }}}f(V|Pa(V))d{\mathbb{V}}
=𝕀⁢(𝐗=𝐱)⁢∫∏V∈𝕍f⁢(V|P⁢a⁢(V))⁢d⁢𝕍\displaystyle={\mathbb{I}}({\mathbf{X}}={\mathbf{x}})\int\prod_{V\in{\mathbb{V% }}}f(V|Pa(V))d{\mathbb{V}}
=𝕀⁢(𝐗=𝐱).\displaystyle={\mathbb{I}}({\mathbf{X}}={\mathbf{x}}).

Portanto, 𝐗{\mathbf{X}} é degenerado em 𝐱{\mathbf{x}} segundo f∗f^{*}. ∎

6.D.1 Relativas ao Teorema 3.6

Lema 6.5.

Considere que (𝒢,f)({\mathcal{G}},f) é um CM linear Gaussiano e que f∗=f⁢(𝒱|d⁢o⁢(𝐗=𝐱))f^{*}=f({\mathcal{V}}|do({\mathbf{X}}={\mathbf{x}})). Se 𝒢⁢(𝐗¯){\mathcal{G}}(\bar{{\mathbf{X}}}) é como no Lema 3.2, então (𝒢⁢(𝐗¯),f∗)({\mathcal{G}}(\bar{{\mathbf{X}}}),f^{*}) é um CM linear Gaussiano tal que, para todo V∉𝐗V\notin{\mathbf{X}}, 𝔼f⁢[V|P⁢a⁢(V)]=𝔼f∗⁢[V|P⁢a⁢(V)]{\mathbb{E}}_{f}[V|Pa(V)]={\mathbb{E}}_{f^{*}}[V|Pa(V)] e 𝔼⁢[𝐗]=𝐱{\mathbb{E}}[{\mathbf{X}}]={\mathbf{x}}.

Demonstração.

Decorre do Lema 3.2 que f∗f^{*} é compatível com 𝒢⁢(𝐗¯){\mathcal{G}}(\bar{{\mathbf{X}}}). Além disso, também decorre do Lema 3.2 que para todo V∉𝐗V\notin{\mathbf{X}}, f⁢(V|P⁢a⁢(V))=f∗⁢(V|P⁢a⁢(V))f(V|Pa(V))=f^{*}(V|Pa(V)). Portanto, 𝔼f⁢[V|P⁢a⁢(V)]=𝔼f∗⁢[V|P⁢a⁢(V)]{\mathbb{E}}_{f}[V|Pa(V)]={\mathbb{E}}_{f^{*}}[V|Pa(V)]. Finalmente, segundo o Lema 3.2, 𝐗{\mathbf{X}} é degenerado em 𝐱{\mathbf{x}}. Assim, 𝔼⁢[𝐗]=𝐱{\mathbb{E}}[{\mathbf{X}}]={\mathbf{x}}. ∎

Prova do Teorema 3.6.

Defina fx∗=f⁢(𝒱|d⁢o⁢(X=x))f^{*}_{x}=f({\mathcal{V}}|do(X=x)). Assim,

A⁢C⁢EX,Y\displaystyle{ACE}_{X,Y} =d⁢𝔼⁢[Y|d⁢o⁢(X=x)]d⁢x\displaystyle=\frac{d{\mathbb{E}}[Y|do(X=x)]}{dx}
=d⁢𝔼fx∗⁢[Y]d⁢x\displaystyle=\frac{d{\mathbb{E}}_{f^{*}_{x}}[Y]}{dx} (12)

Além disso, ℂX={C∈ℂ:Ci=X⁢, para algum ⁢i}\mathbb{C}_{X}=\{C\in\mathbb{C}:C_{i}=X\text{, para algum }i\}. Obtemos

∪V∈𝒱ℂV,Y∩ℂX\displaystyle\cup_{V\in{\mathcal{V}}}\mathbb{C}_{V,Y}\cap\mathbb{C}_{X} =ℂX,Y.\displaystyle=\mathbb{C}_{X,Y}. (13)

Portanto,

A⁢C⁢EX,Y\displaystyle{ACE}_{X,Y} =d⁢𝔼fx∗⁢[Y]d⁢x\displaystyle=\frac{d{\mathbb{E}}_{f^{*}_{x}}[Y]}{dx}
=d⁢∑V∈𝒱∑C∈ℂV,YμV⋅∏i=1|C|−1βCi+1,Cid⁢x\displaystyle=\frac{d\sum_{V\in\mathbb{{\mathcal{V}}}}\sum_{C\in\mathbb{C}_{V,% Y}}\mu_{V}\cdot\prod_{i=1}^{|C|-1}\beta_{C_{i+1},C_{i}}}{dx} Lemas 2.27 e 6.5
=d⁢∑C∈ℂX,YμX⋅∏i=1|C|−1βCi+1,Cid⁢x\displaystyle=\frac{d\sum_{C\in\mathbb{C}_{X,Y}}\mu_{X}\cdot\prod_{i=1}^{|C|-1% }\beta_{C_{i+1},C_{i}}}{dx}
=d⁢∑C∈ℂX,Yx⋅∏i=1|C|−1βCi+1,Cid⁢x\displaystyle=\frac{d\sum_{C\in\mathbb{C}_{X,Y}}x\cdot\prod_{i=1}^{|C|-1}\beta% _{C_{i+1},C_{i}}}{dx}
